The KidsProxy Box is built for people who don’t want a networking hobby. You won’t need to know what a subnet is. You will need your router, a free network port and about one cup of coffee.
What is in the package
The Box, a power adapter, a network cable and a card with your setup code. That’s all of it. There is nothing to install on phones, tablets, consoles or TVs at home: the Box sits in your network and looks after every device on it.
The setup, step by step
From cable to first voucher
- Connect the Box to a free port on your router and plug in the power. The light turns steady when it is ready.
- Open the setup page shown on your card and enter the setup code.
- Add your kids by name. One profile per child.
- Assign devices. The Box lists what it finds on your network; tap the ones that belong to each kid.
- Set online time and the nightly internet pause for each profile.
- Create a first voucher and let your kid redeem it. That’s the test run.
Smartie’s tip
Do step four with your kids in the room. They know which device is called “DESKTOP-7GH2K” much faster than you do.
After the first evening
Expect a day or two of fine-tuning. A homework site that gets blocked, a smart speaker assigned to the wrong profile. Exceptions take seconds to add, and everything you change applies immediately.
When Premium makes sense
At home, the Box is all you need. KidsProxy Premium adds what happens outside: the same rules on the way to school, remote changes from your phone and the parent app. For that, the KidsProxy app is installed on the kids’ devices, because away from your Wi-Fi the Box can’t help.
